I Wanted to Love You

That is exactly how I felt about the Rodarte for Target line. I fell in love with a few pieces when I saw the pictures online so I bought 2 dresses not too long ago, but then after trying them on, I wasn't impressed. I purchased these the week before Christmas and the store was so hectic I decided to just purchase them and try them on at home.

I REALLY wanted to love this dress because it had bows and lace, but it really did nothing for my body type. Now I am not well endowed in the chest area, but it made me look really flat chested.

Now this next one worked better for me. I think it looks really cute with the lace pattern and the chiffon edging, but I really wish it were an actual lace overlay instead of just a pattern on the polyester fabric.

I don't think I will be keeping the lace patterned dress because I just don't feel that the material is worth the price.

What did you think about the Rodarte for Target line? Did you like and purchase any items? Or did you feel like me that it was all hype with nothing much to back it up?

Oh what a shame you didn't like them, it's always the risk isn't it. I don't think we have that range over here.

I feel exactly the same way about the Rodarte line. The second dress is super cute on you though, I think it would be great with a belt. Are you going to keep it or return them both? Hope Target's next designer collabo is better!! xoxo

The line looked so cute, but we do not have Target in Canada...I am so sorry that the dresses disappointed you, the second one does look adorable. But if you do not love it, then it is never worth keep. You should always love what you're wearing :)

Andi-I don't think I will be keeping the second dress. I mean I think its cute and all but I am really trying to buy more classic pieces that will last rather than trendy cheap items this year. Lets hope I stick to it.

Sadly, I didn't purchase anything. It just didn't work for me.

hmm I liked what I saw online but was too lazy to go across the border to actually check it out. that sucks that it was anti-climatic for you but honestly if you're not happy, sell on ebay! the target collabs sell for a pretty penny on there. xo Niki

ps. I am having a haute Giveaway right now! You can win a pretty sapphire blue leather clutch. Details here -> http://ahautemess.blogspot.com

I saw the Rodarte line in Target this past weekend and was not impressed. Usually I am immediately drawn towards the special items in Target, but I almost walked right by them before I realized it was the Rodarte display.
